Join the Movement

Joining the movement is a simple way of showing your support for our vision of a UK that truly welcomes people seeking sanctuary.

Individuals can join to become part of our community of supporters. Organisations can join the movement as the first step toward pursuing a Sanctuary Award. Any organisation, regardless of legal status, can become a Supporting Organisation by joining the movement and making a voluntary annual donation to show solidarity.

I support the City of Sanctuary vision of the UK as a place of welcome for all - committed to justice and solidarity for people seeking sanctuary. By joining the City of Sanctuary movement, I commit to upholding its values and principles and to putting them into practice in ways that are meaningful and appropriate in my own life and community.

We support the City of Sanctuary vision that the UK as a place of welcome for all - committed to justice and solidarity for people seeking sanctuary. By joining the City of Sanctuary movement, we align ourselves with its values and principles and commit to applying them within our own context, as far as we are able.
We recognise and value the contribution of people seeking sanctuary, and we strive to ensure that they are welcomed, supported, and have access to empowering opportunities within our work or activities. We will seek to engage with and support our local City of Sanctuary group and are happy for our name to be included on a public list of City of Sanctuary supporters on the website.
By joining the movement, we agree to receive City of Sanctuary communications and are open to being contacted with ideas for turning our support into practical action, as well as exploring opportunities to work together to further promote the vision.

Organisations with income under £5000 - Free
Organisations with income £5,000 to £100,000 - £50
Organisations with income £100,000 to £200,000 - £100
Organisations with income £200,000 to £500,000 - £150
Organisations with income over £500,000 - £250
Individual member (waged) - £30
Individual member (unwaged) - Free
