Helpline for LGBTQI+ people fleeing the Taliban
Micro Rainbow have launched a free telephone helpline to support LGBTQI Afghan refugees with specialised support, signposting and a friendly community. See here for more info.
Sanctuary in Maternity Course: applications now open
This summer, City of Sanctuary UK will be holding an exciting free online course for people with lived experience of both the asylum system and UK maternity services. This course is designed to support people seeking sanctuary to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to become advocates for themselves and others in the maternity system, whilst working to make maternity healthcare more welcoming and safe for everyone. The Book of Refugees: translators wanted
The project is a collection of 100 short contributions from refugees, which will then be published in the original language and in English.

Access to benefits for Londoners with 'no recourse to public funds'
Research commissioned by the Mayor of London has concluded that the benefits of scrapping the NRPF policy far outweigh its costs, leading to net societal gains of up to £872 million. Read the report here.
