The opportunity

We are seeking experienced an administrator to provide project coordination and delivery for UAL’s response to the refugee crisis arising from the Ukraine conflict. This role is a six-month secondment with a three-days per week commitment. The role will be based in the International Relations (IRU) team at High Holborn.

You will be working with the IRU team to establish an enquiries referral hub and ensure that all enquiries from displaced students and academics are responded to promptly and sensitively. This will also mean regularly liaising with external agencies such as CARA, Citizens UK and Refugee Education UK as well as coordinating referrals across multiple departments and Colleges with UAL.

 Your skills profile will include excellent project management and communications skills, ability to work independently, effective IT and administration skills, and good knowledge of UAL’s organisational structures and processes.

About you

Your profile includes -

  • Co-ordination of small-scale projects in collaboration with a variety of stakeholders at all different levels
  • Experience of liaison and coordination with external agencies to deliver project outcomes
  • Experience of providing project updates and report writing for internal and external dissemination
  • Relevant experience supporting a senior team
  • Communicates effectively orally and in writing adapting the message for a diverse audience in an inclusive and accessible way
  • Plans, prioritises and organises work to achieve objectives on time
  • Works collaboratively in a team and where appropriate across or with different professional groups
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with students, customers and senior stakeholders on behalf of the University
  • Uses initiative or creativity to resolve problems
